FEURIO
is considered to be the best and most reliable audio burning application.
Feurio doesn't burn data cds, it is specificallly dedicated to audio-cdr
burning.
You
may use Feurio for as long as you like without registering, without
the software becoming crippled or any features becoming disabled. The
only difference between the unregistered and registered versions of
Feurio are two nag screens, one when opening the program and one right
before burning.
Please do not use a cracked version, just use an unregistered version,
it is free and won't cause any problems at all.
Cracked versions will insert an audio message in your cds stating that
the cd has been burnt with an "illegal copy".
You've been warned.
If you'd like to register Feurio, visit Feurio's
Homepage.
Unrestricted
Demo here
Granted,
the first time you run Feurio and configure it, it's "Warning Pop-Up
Fest", so follow these steps closely and you'll be safe from those
annoying warning messages.
-Launch
Feurio from "Start > Programs > Feurio! > Feurio!
CD-Manager"
A "Welcome to Feurio Cd-Manager" window pops-up, uncheck "continue
to show message".
The first of two nag screen pops-up, click on "Continue
testing"
You
will now see the main Feurio window. There's three main frames.
1-
Add .wav files to project
a)
Click the "Add wave files" button in the
top right-hand frame, the one named "Project selection".
b) Browse to your .wav files, select them and click
open. (Feurio doesn't support decoding of .ape, .flac or .shn.
Just decompress to .wav with your frontend of choice before using Feurio,
it is actually safer this way)

c) Click "Add files" on the new little window
that pops up. Just leave everything as it is.
2-Settings
d)
Click the "Settings" button in the top right-hand frame
e) Set the Max. size to 80 mns
f) Select "Do not insert pauses between tracks - round track markers".
This option is crucial.
This wil ensure your cd will be burned without gaps, but it will also
fix possible sector boundary errors before burning.
Feurio is actually the only burning app capable of fixing sector boundary
errors.
When encountering a set of lossless files with sector boundary errors,
you can either choose to fix them with shntool
or let Feurio automatically detect the errors and fix them.
Read the shntool tutorial if
you're unsure about what sector boundary errors are.

A
small window stating that parameters for "Pauses between tracks"
have been modified appears, click yes.
This window only appears once, it won't appear next time you use Feurio
unless you change the parameters
for "pauses between tracks".
3-Burn
g)
Click the "Burn" button in the top right-hand
frame.

The
second and last nag screen pops-up. Click on "Continue
testing".
A "Welcome to Feurio CD-Writer" window appears, uncheck "Continue
to show message".
An "Obsolete Driver" warning might appear, you'll be asked
if you want to delete it: Click "Yes".
If
your writer is not on Feurio's database there's still a bit more configuring
to do:
A warning screen will pop up saying that " No activated cd writer
could be found",
you'll be asked "show device list?", click "Yes"
Select your
writer, click "Show
device info"
A
new window, "Properties
of: your writer" will pop up,
Check "Use
device as writer"
A
new screen listing all available drivers pops-up:
-Select
Generic
scsi3.dll or Generic MMC driver (if your writer is fairly new, you can
choose the Generic MMC driver)
-Since your writer is not on Feurio's database a new warning appears:
"Incorrect driver selected"...ignore by clicking ok
-Now click "OK" on the "Properties of: your
writer" window
-And again "OK" on the "List of available devices"
window
One
more warning screen might appear depending on your cd writer,
you know what to do = uncheck "continue to show message"
Congrats:
You've just completed the annoying configuration process !!
Next
time you use Feurio, it will be as easy as "Add wave files"
and "Burn". No more warnings ! :)
(Also just make sure the "Settings" are set to 80 mns and
"Do not insert pauses..")
The
Feurio CD Writer window finally appears.

You can now set the writing speed.
h) Click on "Burn CD" when you're ready.
There
you go.

After
finishing you will be asked if you want to burn another copy of your
project. It's up to you.
Enjoy
your new cd :)
Uninstall:
Feurio
only installs files in its own folder and adds its settings to the registry.
It's therefore easy to uninstall.
Feurio has an uninstallation program in its menu folder. Or you can
uninstall through the windows control panel.
Or you can delete the Feurio folder manually and delete the registry
settings at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jens Fangmeier.
